Courtney Richard (Technician & Vision Therapist)
“This office is my second home. The relationships I’ve established with our patients through the years make my job the most rewarding. At this point, there’s lot of patients I consider to be more like family,” says Courtney, who has been a part of Mitchell Family Eye Care since its opening in 2007. Born and raised in Thibodaux, Courtney studied at Nicholls State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She currently resides in Thibodaux with her husband Michael, their son Graham, and their fur baby, Marley.
Lindsey Naquin (Optician)
Meet Lindsey, the Lead Optician at Mitchell Family Eye Care. Born and raised right here in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Lindsey brings a deep love for her community and a specialized background to our team. She graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, blending her passion for health with expert vision care. Outside the clinic, Lindsey thrives in the great outdoors and loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She has been happily married to her husband for 10 years, and together they share a busy, fun-filled life with their toddler boy, Parish. Their home is completed by two beloved pets: a dog named Buddy and a tabby cat named Basil. When she needs to unwind, you will find her by the ocean—her absolute happy place is at the beach
Megan Blanchard (Loretta)
Married to my favorite army service member, I thrive on beach vacations, rollercoasters, thrift shopping treasures, and indulging in caramel frappes. Proud fur mom to two German Shepherds and a fluffy cat named Beignet, cruising in my blue Bronco is just the cherry on top!
Alaina Lefort (Billing and Insurance Specialist)
“Understanding insurance and its benefits can be confusing and more or less a hassle for patients. My job is to help patients thoroughly understand their benefits based on their medical and vision needs,” says Lani, who was born and raised in Thibodaux, La. She graduated from Nicholls State University in 2021 with a degree in Dietetics. She and her husband were high school sweethearts, married in 2023, and are now proud parents to their son! In her free time she enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her family.
Sierra Swafford (Technician)
Sierra Swafford is originally from upstate New York. She moved to Thibodaux in 2005 and has called this great town home ever since. Sierra is a 2013 graduate from Nicholls State University and joined the Mitchell Family Eye Care team in January 2020 as a technician. “I feel so lucky to be able to be in an environment that has already taught me so much and I can’t wait to continue learning with this wonderful team.” In her free time Sierra can often be found with one of her four fur babies curled up on her lap, in her back yard sitting around the fire pit with friends, or beating her husband at Mario Kart.
Michelle Orgeron (Technician)
I was born and raised in Thibodaux. I am a graduate of Nicholls and started working as a technician at MFEC in 2019. I am a stay at home mom of two, but still work at Mitchell’s part time. My husband and I lived on a houseboat in Bayou Lafourche after we got married and stayed there until our daughter was 6 months old. I enjoy spending time outside with my kids and going on spontaneous adventures.
Erika Falgoust (Front Desk/Reception)
A loving wife and mom to three amazing kids and 1 fur baby—Reese (14), energetic twins, Rayne and Ridge (7), and big baby dog Doberman, Cash! Family adventures outdoors in our garden, swimming, picking blackberries, or out on the water make every day a treasure! 🌿🍇 Iced coffee, Mexican food, music, movies, antique thrifting, and family game nights makes me happy!
Shelly Williams (Optical)
Shelly Williams is a Thibodaux, Louisiana native. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 2010, she spent several years living in Texas and Hawaii as a supportive military spouse. Today, Shelly balances her career with raising her three children: Luke, Elliot, and Joseph. Known for her strong work ethic, positive outlook, and compassionate nature, she brings immense energy to everything she does. Shelly has a knack for developing a friendly bond with each patient. Shelly enjoys helping people to find their perfect pair of glasses. Choosing the correct glasses and lens style can sometimes be difficult, but making the process of picking out your perfect pair of glasses go smoothly is very rewarding, and once you’ve completed the process of picking out your glasses, you will realize how much fun it can be! Outside of work, Shelly loves cooking, traveling, and making memories with her family. A true culinary enthusiast, she has a passionate love for Brussels sprouts and frequently chooses new restaurants solely based on their menu’s sprout selection.
Vickie Esponge (Optical)
Meet Vickie, a Galliano native with a deep love for family and life’s simple pleasures. She is the proud mother of two grown children and the doting grandmother of two adorable grandchildren. When she isn’t casting a line out fishing, you can find her hitting the town to go dancing and enjoy local live music. Her creativity and experience make her a valuable resource when choosing new glasses. “Being a progressive eyeglass lens wearer myself, I love helping our patients understand and adapt to their new lenses.” Vickie also channels her incredible creativity into being her grandchildren’s personal party planner, completely handmaking their event decorations. She has a special fondness for dragonflies, which frequently drop by to land on her while she relaxes on her patio with a peaceful glass of wine. She loves what she does and you can easily pick up on that when she is helping you pick out your glasses and educating you on your lens options.
Sarah Clement (Technician)

I’m a mother, wife, believer, and life long learner who finds joy in faith, family, and personal growth. I love encouraging others and creating beauty in everyday life. I started with the Mitchells in 2026 but have been in the medical field for 18 years. I have enjoyed building meaningful relationships and growing along the way. I try to live with gratitude, strength, and a heart that reflects kindness.
Brooke Gravois (Front Desk)
Happy and courageous, Brooke loves living life under the sun with her adventurous Louisiana Leopard Catahoula Cur Dog. She is known to bring smiles and uplifting spirits wherever she goes! Family, friends, and boat rides fill her days with joy.
Anna Claire Jones (Technician)
I was born and raised in Thibodaux and I am currently a junior at Nicholls studying Biology Pre-Medicine. After graduation, I plan to attend optometry school and pursue a career in eye care. My experiences working and shadowing at Mitchell Family Eye Care have strengthened my passion for helping patients and have allowed me to learn something new about the field every day. I also love getting to watch patients regain the ability to see clearly and improve their quality of life! Outside of school and work, I enjoy coaching volleyball and spending time with family and friends.
